Domain Name Management : Renew Domain Name :

Domain Name Renewal Process :

  1. Check the Domain Name status through WHOIS query and collect the Domain details like ID, Expiration Date etc…

  2. Submit your Domain Name Renewal Request as given below

    For Domain Names already  registered  with NCST before year 2005:
     Submit 
    Domain Name renewal request in writing in the specified format on the letter head 
    of the concerned Department along with a copy of Domain registration certificate issued by NCST.  

    For Domain Names registered with NIC after year 2005:  Domain Name renewal request in writing in the specified format on the letter head of the concerned Department.

Once the above stated Renewal process is completed, the Domain Registrar will process the request accordingly. The Registrar will contact you if any additional information about the renewal is required, prior to activation. If the request is in order, the domain name will be renewed and the same will be notified via email.

Please note the following 

q      At present, the Domain Name renewal is entertained for a maximum period of two years as per the policy.

q       As per the present policy, there is no fee for the domain name registrations / renewals under GOV.IN. However, if there is any change in the policy, the Registrar reserves the right to charge the fee for domain name registrations / renewals as well as cancel the registration on account of nonpayment.

q       The domain will be renewed only on receipt of the Request letter (complete in all respect) and provided all the necessary conditions are satisfied.  

Soon the Domain Name renewal services will be offered as On-Line services.
